Terms of Service
Last updated: October 7, 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Hostwolf Apps — application hosting, plain VPS hosting, the website and the console at console.app.hostwolf.net (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or buying a server, you accept these Terms. If you don't accept them, don't use the Service. You must be at least 16 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian.
2. What we provide
Hostwolf Apps hosts your applications and servers on dedicated virtual servers in European and United States data centres. With Apps, you get push-to-deploy from GitHub, HTTPS, managed databases with backups, environment variables, preview deploys, and logs and metrics. With a plain VPS, you get root SSH, a choice of OS, reboot/rebuild and a browser console. Your virtual server is assigned to your account; it is not an entire physical host.
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee an uptime SLA. We may perform maintenance or apply security updates; where practical we announce it in advance.
3. Your account
Sign-up requires email verification and a quick identity check. Keep your credentials confidential and your information accurate. You are responsible for everything done with your account. Tell us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Acceptable use
The Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these Terms. In short: no spam, no crypto mining, no illegal content, no attacks — and we may suspend servers that break the rules.
5. Payment, renewal and cancellation
Servers are billed monthly through Stripe checkout; the price you pay there includes applicable taxes and fees. Renewals are automatic until you cancel. You can cancel any time: billing stops, you can choose to delete the server immediately or at the end of the paid period. Deletion removes its data and backups. Contact support for refund requests; applicable statutory rights still apply.
6. Backups and your data
Automated backups of Apps databases are included as a courtesy. Backups protect against failure — they are not an archive, and they do not survive a deleted server. You can download your data at any time, and you should before a period ends if you're leaving.
7. Third-party software
Your code, dependencies, databases and anything else you run are governed by their own licences. You are responsible for having the rights to use them. GitHub, Stripe and other named products belong to their owners; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: the Service is provided "as is" and "as available"; we exclude liability for indirect and consequential losses, including lost data, lost profits or lost business; and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes and termination
We may change the Service as it evolves. Material changes to these Terms are announced to account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. We may suspend or terminate the Service for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or legal obligations, with notice where practical.
10. Contact
Questions about these Terms: [email protected]. Hosting is available in Germany (Nuremberg and Falkenstein), Finland (Helsinki) and the United States (Ashburn, VA and Hillsboro, OR). Application data stays in the region you choose.
